About the Bissell 9200

The Bissell 9200 upright is the least expensive ProHeat 2X model, retailing for under $250.00.

There are actually two different deep carpet cleaner machines in this category – the Blue Illusion 9200 and the Titanium-colored multisurface 9200-T. Other than their color, the main difference between these two machines is that the 9200-T includes an additional bare floor tool attachment.

A three inch tough stain tool is also included with both models. Other attachments can be purchased separately. However, if you do plan to use your steam cleaner for cleaning upholstery, stairs, and/or your automobile interior, you may want to consider buying one of the more expensive models that already include the tools needed for these types of cleaning projects. In the long run, you will save money by not having to purchase the necessary attachments separately.

As with the other ProHeat 2X machines, the Bissell 9200 models have a built in heater, which warms the tap water needed for cleaning by an additional 25 degrees. This heater can be turned off when not needed, or when cleaning delicate carpet fibers, such as wool.

They also have 10 row Dual DirtLifter PowerBrushes. Other machines in the ProHeat 2X series typically have twelve rows, instead of ten. These brushes have a floating suspension that automatically adjust based on carpet height.

Other features of the Bissell 9200 and 9200-T include:

  • 2-in-1 water tank: A heavy duty bladder separates the clean water from the dirty.
  • Custom Clean Dial: Select how much cleaning solution you want mixed with the water as you clean. You can also opt for a water only rinse.
  • ReadyTools Dial: Want to use the hose with attachments? Move this dial to “Tools”. Switch back to “Floor Cleaning” when you no longer want to use the hose and hand tools.
