First, let’s discuss the similarities of the Red Berends Clean Shot deep cleaner upright with the other ProHeat 2X models…
It has the standard patented built-in heater. When used, this heater will warm the water by an additional 25 degrees. When not needed, the heater can be turned off with the flip of a switch.
The double rolls of brushes, known as the Dual DirtLifter PowerBrushes, are also included. Each roll has six rows of brushes. This results in a total of twelve rows of brushes for lifting dirt out of carpeted surfaces and for grooming carpet fibers.
It has a Custom Clean dial, which gives you the ability to customize how much cleaning formula is mixed with the water. The four settings are heavy traffic, normal clean, light clean, and water rinse.
The CleanShot also has the one gallon 2-in-1 water tank, which sits on the base of the cleaner. The tank has a interior bladder for the clean water, which keeps the dirty water separate from the water used for cleaning.
Like a few other Pro Heat 2X models, it also has Microban antimicrobial product protection, cutting down on product deterioration and odors caused by bacteria, molds and mildew.
Now, for the unique features of the Bissell CleanShot…
One problem with the ProHeat 2X carpet cleaners is that it is difficult to tell when there is no longer any clean water or cleaning solution. Bissell has fixed this problem with the CleanShot, by adding a flow gauge located on the back of the machine. This gauge spins when the trigger is depressed and there is liquid in both the clean tank and formula holder. When the unit runs out of clean water or out of the cleaning formula, the gauge will stop spinning, alerting the user that a refill is needed. Also, the gauge will not spin when the trigger is released.
The CleanShot feature is also new, and is used to tackle stains and other problematic areas. When the CleanShot button is pressed, the steam cleaner will spray the cleaning solution in a concentrated stream. This concentrated cleaning stream is more effective at penetrating stains and will help avoid the multiple cleaning cycles that would otherwise be needed to remove stains.
Finally, the Bissell 9500 has a Dry Aire feature. The Dry Aire feature blows hot air out from the back and bottom of the machine and across the carpet, to aid in the drying process and shorten the time period that the carpet is wet.
Multisurface Deep Cleaning
The Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot can be used on carpeted surfaces, upholstery, stairs, in automobiles, and on bare floors. The flexible hose is attached to the machine, and is put to work by flipping the ReadyTools dials from “Floor Cleaning” to “Tools”. The following tools are included with this particular upright deep cleaner:

- 3″ tough stain tool
- 4″ upholstery tool
- spraying crevice tool
- TurboBrush hand tool
- bare floor tool
- 6″ stair tool
- mesh storage bag
