Bissell Steam Cleaner models have a lot to offer. Whether you are looking for a full-size carpet cleaner for keeping your new (or not so new) carpet looking great, a portable handheld for detailing your automobile, or even a lightweight steam mop for your vinyl and hardwood flooring, Bissell offers a wide range of economical, user-friendly choices.
Carpet Cleaners
There are several models to select from among the Bissell carpet cleaners. Many offer the DirtLifter PowerBrushes, which are similar to the brushes on every day vacuum sweepers. The brushes are designed to be gentle for use on carpet, yet tough enough to get to the deep down embedded dirt.
The Proheat and ProHeat 2x models offer a patented built-in heater. This heater raises the temperature of the cleaning solution and water by up to 25 degrees. By heating the water, these models have a deep cleaning advantage over stains and other problematic areas.
Some Bissell carpet cleaners, such as the Quicksteamer Multi Surface, can be used on hard floors as well as carpeted areas. Although the Quicksteamer is not as effective as some of the other models at deep cleaning, it is a good lightweight choice for every day use.
Although the vast majority of Bissell Steam Cleaners are uprights, the Big Green Complete is a canister-style model that deep cleans carpet, upholstery, rugs and hard floors. If you are really set on getting a canister-style machine, this may be one that you want to look at. However, we believe that the uprights are a better investment.
Hard Floor Steam Cleaners
The Steam Mop and Flip-It are two popular models in the hard floor cleaning category.
The Bissell Steam Mop uses no chemical solutions. Instead, the mop utilizes steam and a microfiber pad attached to the swivel head to clean hard surface flooring.
The Flip-It models, on the other hand, have two functions. They can be used either as a dry vac on non-carpeted surfaces, or flipped around and used as a wet mop. The Flip-It Select, a slightly more expensive model than the base one, also heats the water and detergent solution for an even more effective cleaning of hard floor surfaces.
Handheld Steam Cleaners
If space is limited, or if you need a machine to pick up spills on the fly, then one of the portable handheld Bissell Steam Cleaners may be your best option.
Although the Bissell SpotBot models are the most expensive in this category, they are very effective at cleaning up messes left by both pets and humans. They are hands-free, and can be simply placed on top of the stain to do their work. The SpotBot Pet model also includes MicroBan protection for an added level of cleaning.
Although the Little Green machines are not hands-free like the SpotBots, they are also effective machines for cleaning up messes in a jiffy.
Summing It Up…
As you can see, there are several options to look at if you are considering a Bissell Steam Cleaner. It would be great if we could tell you that all Bissell steamers are a great investment – unfortunately, that’s just not the case. Some models do a better job than others.
