I purchased the Eureka Enviro Steamer from Wal-Mart.com and I have used it weekly for the past 2 months. The first use was the only time this product left puddles. Since that time it has performed beautifully and I love the results!
I am using this on 12" self-stick vinyl tiles that were installed with glue. I also use it weekly on my laminate countertops.

I purchased a Eureka Enviro-Steam Floor cleaner in March 2010 with the 1 year warranty. It has worked sporatically. It is heavy, difficult to clamp the cleaning pads in place, pours out all the steam at once leaving a huge puddle on my floor which I have to wipe up with a towel, has a limited cord length. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Eureka has chosen not to stand behind their product and passes the problem to a repair shop and then back to amazon.com. I've offered to return the faulty cleaner to them for a return of the purchase price and they will not take the unit back and told me to return it to where I purchased it. Amazon has a 90 day return policy and after that says you have to return the product to the manufacturer , who says return it to amazon.com (a pass the problem to someone else technique). I could understand if I had done something to damage the unit, but newer reviews that have been written by others describe the same issues. So much for customer satisfaction.

I just ordered my steam mop from WalMart after reading reviews on many different types. If you go to the WalMart site and enter in this steamer name and model it will bring you to the page and at the bottom are reviews. There are at least 2 of the 254 reviews that said the used it on the square self stick tiles. The said it cleaned perfectly with no loose tiles. I hope this helps.

Did you receive an answer to your question or have you tried it? I want to buy the eureka yet I am trying to find out if it will affect the glue. I have glued down vinyl planks. My thought is that if you do not leave it in place that long, it cannot get hot enough to loosen the glue. I have read that others love it and use it yet avoid the seams. I cannot do this with planks.

I did research many steam mops and was happy to find positive reviews on the Eureka Enviro Steamer. I ordered mine on December 5th and it arrived on December 9, 2010. I was so excited that I couldn't wait to try it. I read all of the literature that was enclosed in the box and was disappointed to find out that Eureka does not recommend using their product on pre-glued vinyl square flooring. No where in any of the customer reviews or Eureka information did it mention this.

I would like to know, if the glue will get wet and loosen the pre-glued vinyl squares over time. My husband does not want to have to replace the kitchen floor. If someone has used it on this type of flooring, I would be interested in what they have to say.

I really don't want to return it. Thank you for your help in this matter.
